The secret crushes, the hidden grudges, the triumphs, and the horrors: with a guest reader, nostalgic tunes, and a cast of top improvisers, #DearDiaryPDX 🔑🔑takes the writing you vowed you’d never show anyone, and turns it into an hour-long show.
🎃Our spooky October guest is writer, editor, podcaster, and one-time-horror-auteur, Sylvia Rodemeyer. Entry includes a chance to win tix to That’s What She Said at The Siren Theater!
🔪What is more horrifying than remembering our teen years? How about a horror film made by a teenager! Sylvia Rodemeyer is a writer, editor, and podcaster who has been published in the Willamette Week and Los Angeles Times, but at October’s #DearDiaryPDX 🔑🔑, she will be sharing passages from her teen writing AND clips from 666 Harmony Lane, the gory thriller she made with her best friend in high school!
Rodemeyer’s terrifying teen materials will inspire an improvised show from Natalie Haddad (Show Ridiculous), Katie Kester (Show Ridiculous), Roland Mechanik (Cut and Run), Brianna Núñez-Webb (Cut and Run), Emily Shankman (Show Ridiculous), Emilie Sites (Papa?) and host Anne Zander (JUICEBOX).
